S.A.T. Scholarships Are Terrific

 
The Friends of the Richmond Public Library and the Teen Services Division of the Richmond Public Library are offering two $1,500 scholarships to high school students that will attend a four-year college starting fall 2013. Students must live or attend a public or private high school in West Contra Costa County. 


Interested Applicants Should:
  • Submit a "Scholarships Are Terrific" application.
  • Provide a copy of a letter of intent/registration to the college you will be attending.
  • Include the names of any service/social organization(s) in which you participated.
  • Give the names and amounts of other scholarships awarded.
  • Submit a three-page, double spaced, typed essay.

More About the Essay
The essay title: "Public Libraries in the New Millennium: Programs and Resources That Will Attract Teenagers."

Programs can be recreational, instructional, or academic. Resources might include technology, rooms for special use, or how they provide an environment that promotes safety and self expression. Entries must be received by Saturday, May 31, 2013, 5:00 PM
